Let Me Grow Lovely

One of the people whom I love the utmost best in my world sent this poem to me last night. She told me that she collected poetry in her 20s and today, in her 50s, she still enjoys it. I think that is sooo romantic!!!It is short but gets right to the point. I think that you, too, may enjoy it!

Let Me Grow Lovely

Let me grow lovely, growing old--
So many fine things do:
Laces, and ivory, and gold,
And silk need not be new,
And there is healing in old trees,
Old streets a glamour hold,
Why may not I, as well as these,
Grow lovely, growing old?

Thank you C.N.K.!!!
