Ruth Beckley--Scott City

(October 1, 1916 - January 7, 2011)

Ruth Beckley, age 94, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2011 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on October 1, 1916 in Liberal, Kansas, the daughter of Ira and Eva Guyer Riney. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1930 moving from Liberal, Kansas, she was a homemaker.

She was a member of the First Christian Church, VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary and Scott County Hospital Auxiliary all of Scott City, Kansas.

On September 12, 1937 she married Paul E. Beckley in Scott City, Kansas. He passed away on January 13, 2003 in Scott City, Kansas.

Survivors Include her Three Daughters - Jacquelyn Ruth Bell of Bossier City, Louisiana, Paula Sue Beckley of Lawrence, Kansas, Beverly Lynn Norman of Scott City, Kansas, One Sister - Elizabeth Grube of Scott City, Kansas, Seven Grandchildren, Eight Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, One Infant Daughter, Two Sisters and One Brother.

Funeral Services will be at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2011 with Steve Payne presiding.

Memorials may be given to the Silent Angels or First Christian Church % of Price & Son Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.

Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
