In January, Cyndy Brooks-Fetty and Melodee Pfeifer-Hoffer, the organizers of Leoti's Community Animal Care Program, went to our Wichita County Thrift Shop Board and asked for a donation to help pay for the ongoing costs of paying one half of dogs' and cats' neutering and spaying expense. The Board honored the group with a $500.00 donation which will go a long way in our fight to curb the amount of dogs and cats out there who are homeless and causing problems throughout our county and other counties.
We have asked Dr. Doug Hilbig of Lakin to perform the surgeries, examinations and vaccinations. He does a fine job for us!
