For the most part, Dennis went without his oxygen tank from Saturday through around 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. After that, serious pain set in but, of course, it let up before they saw the doctor again. (Isn't that the way all of us are?)
Another chest x-ray was done and the results were good! The doctor increased some of his medications. She was glad to see that his eating has improved and that he is now gaining weight. Because of that, he does not require his nightly feeding through his F-tube as long as he continues to eat well during the day. He is basically eating like all of us but he still has to watch some things. If this continues, his F-tube will be removed next week. Hallelujah!
He's doing pretty well with no extra oxygen but they are keeping some on hand just in case. Its still hard to walk in those temps. Susan is hoping that they will be able to go to the stores sometime soon.
