Update on Leoti's new Restaurant

As I reported last week, Leotians are greatly anticipating the new restaurant in town!!! I know abit more about it now than I did before.

There are 12 partners. I know who a few of them are but since I don't know everyone involved, I prefer to not name them at this time. The cafe will be open 7 days a week and will be serving ALL three meals per day!!!

I have been hearing various things about when we should expect the cafe to open. I've heard everything from later this week to mid to late October. At this time, I would be surprised if it opens within the next couple of weeks. The partners are wanting the cafe to be just right before the doors open for business. Anyone who has ever been in Leoti's VFW, knows that no one would use the words "bright and sunny" to describe the building. However, that is coming to an end. Contractors have cut three large openings in the south side of the building where windows will be added.

I've also heard that modernization is also taking place in the kitchen.

People are also wanting to know what will be happening to the large BINGO crowd every Wednesday night. Once again, I don't know what will happen with that, however, some are thinking that the BINGO will take place in the rooms that were formerly the restaurant. I guess that we'll just have to wait and see what happens. Until several months ago, a good-sized crowd met at Scott City's former Catholic school. However, that building was demolished last year so that the church and parking lot could be expanded. To my knowledge, BINGO in Scott City has been non-existent ever since. The last that I knew, Tribune still has BINGO on Sunday nights at their VFW. I could be mistaken on that though.
