A very fine Christian man, Bob Wiles, of Leoti went Home to live with his Father on Wednesday morning, October 21st. He was killed in a farming accident that involved his tractor. Born on April 3rd, 1948, he was 61-years-old. He was a farmer/stockman in Wichita County. He will be greatly missed by many people. Bob was greatly involved in helping others.
On April 3rd, 1948, he married Rita Ann Muret at Winfield. She survives along with their children, Jennifer and Jerry Berning of Hutchinson and Jason and Gwen Wells of Leoti. Other survivors include his father and stepmother, Earl and Lois Wiles of Leoti, 1 brother and 1 sister. He was blessed with 5 grandchildren whom he absolutely adored.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Wiles and his 8-year-old son, Russell Earl Wiles, who was killed in a 4-wheeler accident.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 cst on Friday, October 23rd at Christ Covenant Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Leoti where he served as an elder. Pastor Bob Everest will preside at the funeral. The church is just north and east of the Junior High School. Interment will be at the Leoti Cemetary.
Friends may sign the register between 1 and 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Price and Sons Funeral Home in Leoti.
The family requests that memorials be made in Bob's name to Christ Covenant Church of Leoti.
