Visit the Summit of Pikes Peak - America's Mountain

Pikes Peak – America's Mountain is easily seen from all over the city. The mountain is deemed the second most visited mountain in the world after Japan’s Mount Fuji. A unique aspect about Pikes Peak is that there are three ways to get to the top. The first is driving Pikes Peak Highway. Drivers pay a fee at the toll gate, and then navigate the winding and scenic highway. Many visitors prefer a hands-off approach by taking the Pikes Peak Cog Railway which happens to be the highest cog railway in the world. The cog runs year-round and lets passengers stretch their legs and get a spectacular view from the top before making its way back down. The last way is to hike the 12.6 mile Barr Trail to the top.
