Kathryn L. Ford--Leoti

Kathryn L. Ford, age 77, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at the Galichia Heart Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. She was born on February 27, 1933 in Scott City, Kansas, the daughter of Elmer Edwin and Ida Blanche Peterson Gittinger. A resident of Leoti, Kansas since May of 1953 moving from Sharon Springs, Kansas, she was a homemaker.
Memberships include the Parks Presbyterian Church in Leoti, Kansas, Parks Presbyterian Women, Wichita County Historical Society, Community Thrift Shoppe Board, Amusement Association and the Patchwork Quilt Guild, Wichita County Genealogical Society.
On May 27, 1951 she married Matthew T. Ford in Sharon Springs, Kansas. He survives.
Survivors Include her Husband - Matthew T. Ford of Leoti, Kansas, Two Sons Matthew R. Ford of Juniata, Nebraska, Michael A. Ford of Dallas, Texas, Four Daughters - Darlene J. Harkness of Leoti, Kansas, Marlene J. Ribbing of Leoti, Kansas, Kristine K. Bollinger of Scott City, Kansas, Kathleen L. Long of Leoti, Kansas, Three Brothers - Robert D. Gittinger of Kismet, Kansas, John L. Gittinger of Odessa, Missouri, Ralph E. Gittinger of Oak Grove, Missouri, Eleven Grandchildren and Seven Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Parents and One Son – Richard T. Ford.
Funeral Services will be held at the Parks Presbyterian Church in Leoti, Kansas 10:30 a.m. (C.T.) Tuesday, July 20, 2010 with the Rev. Paul McNall presiding.
Graveside Services will be held at the Sharon Springs Cemetery in Sharon Springs, Kansas at 1:00 p.m. (M.T) Tuesday, July 20, 2010.
Memorials may be given to the Parks Presbyterian Church, Leoti EMT’s, or Museum Of The Great Plains % Price & Sons Funeral Home in Leoti, Kansas.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Price & Sons Funeral Home – Leoti, Kansas.
