After today, we will be experiencing a MAJOR cold snap in Western Kansas, etc. Here is the breakdown for the next few days:
Tuesday: High is 38-Low is 21.
Wednesday: High is 28-Low is 2.
Thursday: High is 14-Low is 0. Weather conditions will be WINDY!
Friday: High is 24-Low is 6.
Saturday: High is 38-Low is 18.
Sunday: 43-Low 18.
People around here know that when it gets this cold out here, that our human flesh will actually FREEZE very quickly so it is important that layered clothes be worn whenever you are going to be in and out of doors. Don't forget to wear socks, gloves and hats! (Did you know that the bulk of human's heat is lost through the feet and head? It's true!) Zip or button your coats!!!
If you have children in grade school here in town as I do, gloves and hats are required in order for the kids to go outdoors in this frigid weather. I, for one, appreciate that rule!
Don't forget your outdoor animals at this time! Make sure that they have adequate food and fresh water as this will help to maintain their body temperatures. Make sure that they have fresh, clean bedding also.
So, be prepared for whatever the weather brings. Don't forget that any and all cars are prone to break-downs. Make sure that you are prepared if that should happen to you in this weather!!!
