Quick explanation on my whereabouts...

In case you have been checking in here and haven't seen anything new for a few days, here's my explanation.

I am no longer sick with that horrible flu from last week. I am having some pretty bad times with my asthma but I am sure that that will pass soon.

I started another of my homemaking projects on Monday. Between that, being a mommy, working for the credit bureau yesterday and tomorrow and my daily cleaning at two seperate office buildings, I have had VERY little time to be online at all.

I would love to say that our kitchen project is about finished but I cannot. My Tuscan treatment on our cabinets is extremely slow-going. Tonight, Stan was able to hang three of the upper cabinet doors and install their "jewelry"--some new and very pretty doorhandles. Unfortunately, I can't even say that those doors are finished. Once I have finished the other doors which haven't even been started yet, I will have to come back and put the finish coats of polyurethane on them. My mom came over to see my work this afternoon. I was so uplifted as soon as I saw her eyes light up when she saw my work! (Not all of my creations turn out so well. LOL!) Her enthusiasm gave me the will and energy to continue onwards.

Out of 12 cabinet doors, 5 are complete except for hanging and the final coatings of the sealer. The other 7 doors are yet to be touched. The cabinets that they cover also need to be dealt with. Sometimes, I really wish that I had an assistant. LOL! However, this particular treatment can only be done by the same person. Because of the technique, each person has his/her own way. Therefore, the results would look different.

I am trying to finish them this week because Stan is planning on laying the new ceramic tile on the countertops this weekend. His MAIN goal is to get to plumb in our new gooseneck water faucet. He cannot do that until the countertops are finished. He can just hardly wait to do that! Ours has a head that pulls out of the main support system so that it can be used to spray the sink, veggies and fruits, plants, etc. The sprayer even has a high and low pressure setting. MAYBE, the projects will be finished this weekend. I'll let you know!

Anyway, my information may be abit slow for the next few days. Please be patient with me. I will be back with bells on my toes!
