Virgie N. Silvey--Scott City

Mrs. Silvey was born on October 10th of 1915 and passed away on April 3rd of 2010 at South Wind Hospice in Pratt. She was 94. She was born in Lamar and then became a resident of Scott County in 1952. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Silvey was a member of First Christian Church and the Hit and Miss Band of Scott City.

She married Mevlin M. "Hap" Silvey in Lamar. He passed away on October 4th of 2000 in Garden City.

She is survived by two sons; Larry Silvey of Akron, Colorado and Jan Silvey of Scott City. There are two surviving daughters; Lillian Farr of Stafford, Kansas and Jeanne Cutler of Scott City. There is also one brother, Coy Marriott of Denver, Colorado and one sister, Miriel Huffaker of Vancouver, Canada, 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held at 2:00 on Wednesday, April 7th, at First Christian Church in Scott City. Interment will be at the Scott City Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the First Christian Church in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home.
