Ways to save 20% on your automobiles' gasoline costs

Recently, in our part of the country, we are noticing that gasoline costs are once again going up. This is no big surprise. For years, this is a pattern that takes place until well after summer has ended. As you know, many people travel more extensively throughout the summer months, therefore, gas prices, motel charges, etc take a major climb throughout the entire nation.

There are four SIMPLE things that all of us can do that can actually save us 20% of the gas money that we would usually spend. Here's these easy things that we can do to save not only our money but our environment.

1. LEAVE 5 MINUTES EARLIER THAN NORMAL. By doing this, there is no necessity in driving too fast. Drivers actually can afford the time to stop at interesections which will, in turn, be safer so that more children as well as other pededstrians and animals are safer from traffic than otherwise.

2. APPROACH RED LIGHTS SLOWLY. Don't rush to try to beat red lights. Just slow down and stop as required. Drivers can avoid tickets by doing this also.

3. WHENEVER POSSIBLE, WALK OR RIDE BIKES FROM POINT "A" TO POINT "B". Just doing this once a week, will make a considerable difference in our fuel charges. PLUS, our bodies and health can be far better off for doing so!

4. USE CRUISE CONTROL. By not using it, constant acceleration (driving with speed bursts) and decelleration (slowing down), more and more fuel usage takes place.

If we all take these easy steps, our pockets will be fuller and our world will be a nicer place in which to live!
