Lori--Friday Morning

As of today, LOri has been in the Hays hospital for one week. For the most part, she had a good day yesterday. She greatly enjoyed the company of Grandma (Neva Kiefer-Duncan), Mama, Tammi Buhrle, Valerie Lobmeyer and three of her kids. They laughed and laughed!

Unfortunately, her Central IV Line began plugging up. All three ports were no longer allowing any fluids in nor were they allowing any blood to be taken for lab tests. One of the nurses worked and worked and was finally able to have all three open again. But during the evening, another closed. If this issue continues, doctors will have no other choice but to do major surgery in order to install a different appliance such as what chemotherapy patients have.

As of late last night, there had been no word in regards to the uterine cells which were retrieved on Wednesday. The gynecologist had not expected any results on them until today. I'll keep you informed on them.

As for Leif and Lars, Leif returned back home on Monday. Basically, he was doing nothing in the hospital right then. He and Lori agreed that he should return to Leoti and work. I am sure that he will return to Hays this weekend or if Lori needs him for some reason. Mark Jones is his employer. We all appreciate him so very, VERY much!!! He has just been a jewel!!! Anytime that Leif has needed to be with Lori, Mark has been greatly supportive. Not all employers would have been like that. Lars spent the day at home yesterday. With all of the chaos of Lori's illness for so long, he just needed some time alone. I expect that he will come to our house today.

Please continue praying!!!

Thank you!!!
