Lori--Noon

Folks, I am not getting the kind of news that I want and need on Lori. As of right now, no one has been able to get a PIK line started in Lori. They've been working at that since she arrived at the hospital last night. Without it, they cannot perform a CT Scan which is imperative if they are to look for blood clots. At this time, they have moved her to the CT Lab in hopes that one of the technicians there can get one started.

I just received a phone call from a great friend. He told me that if they cannot get a PIK started, they sometimes end up having to use a cordless drill to put a hole in the patient's leg. As you can guess, that is not a pleasurable alternative.

My mom and Leif are besides themselves with worry. They need your prayers and support right now. I am about to go NUTS. I have called my mom and offered to head to Hays right now. She doesn't want me to do that yet.
