It Has Begun

For years, Stan, Mama, Lori and Lona Sue have encouraged me to carry a notebook wherever I go so that I can jot down my thoughts and then ultimately wrte my own book. Unfortunately, I never did and those thoughts are probably gone forever.

On Monday while we were at home doing laundry and taking care of business, a large box came to us through the mail. It was from Chris (Campbell) and Peter. They had gathered fantastic things from Italy and sent them to us. WHAT A THRILL!!! We could hardly get it opened fast enough!!!

Inside, were wonderful surprises for each and every one of us. Sooo much fun!!! Anyway, one of the goodies sent to me was a BEAUTIFUL leather-covered VERY large journal. It is probably the same size as a notebook and very thick with papers. Immediately, I knew exactly what I was going to do with it..write my first book, of course. My sweet nephew, Lars, has already titled my book and I LOVE it!!! He said that it should be LYNN BLAU, THE WOMAN BEHIND THE BLOG . Isn't that just precious???

Now, I don't know just how far my book will go and I certainly don't know if anyone is gonna want to read it or not but I do know that I am going to enjoy writing it. I figure if nothing else, my kids might get a kick out of it when I have left this world.

So far, what I have written in it are just funny things that have recently happened to my family and I and a few more serious thoughts and events.
