Lori--Sunday Morning

As I told you last night, Lori had lost 90 pounds since July 6th through Friday morning. This morning, she was weighed again. Since Friday, she lost an additional 15 pounds! People, I am not stuttering. To date, she has now lost 105 pounds. Simply unbelievable!!!

I realized after I went back to the motel room last night that I have not told you where Lori is. She is at Hays Medical Center on Canterbury Street in Hays, Kansas. Her room number is 248.

She had a better night last night. Leif spent the entire night with her. Right now, we are washing some clothes at the motel so that we can change our others before we go to the hospital. Why we didn't pack clothes, medicines, etc before we left home on Friday morning, I don't know. We purchased a new set of clothes for each of us on Friday but with the motel and food expenses that we have endured, there is no money left to buy anything else. We are also very fortunate that Stan's brother, Ron, and his wife live here. They have been so helpful! Ron loaned Stan some additional clothes to get him by.

Once we spend some time with Lori and Leif today, we plan on returning home. We will then wash all of our clothes, pack new medications, etc. I don't know exactly when we will be coming back to Hays. As soon as we learn when her surgery will be, we will make sure that we leave in plenty of time to be here. Stan is on vacation until Friday. Hopefully, he can extend that until next Monday if need be.

Please continue to send your prayers to our Almighty Lord! Because of Him, Lori is now getting the much-needed care that she has required for so very long!!!
