Employment opportunities in Wichita County

In the past few days, my husband, Stan, met a new man who is from Georgia and has been living there until now. Georgians, as many other people from other places of the country, are seeing a VERY high unemployment rate. Every day, it is becoming more difficult for people to hang on to their current jobs and even more difficult to find new jobs to go to.

This particular man was ready for a change so he did some research to see what kind of jobs were out there and where they could be found. Soon after he began his research, he learned that companies in Wichita County were looking for employees. He decided to come out this way and take a look around. The man was quite impressed with the people and job opportunities in Wichita County. He has put in an application here and hopes to be hired so that he can be a part of our community here!

While Stan and this gentleman were talking, he told Stan that one of his co-workers had just lost his job. Practically as soon as the co-worker had received his walking papers, he walked out of the business and 272 people filled out job applications for his newly vacated psotion with the company. To us in Leoti, that is a practically inconceivable reality. But it is the harsh truth that that is what so many Americans are facing today.

I am very happy to be from a growing community who is able to bring in people who might otherwise be going hungry, and give them a good position! To top it all off, once these people accept positions in Wichita County, they just need to contact Sharla Droste-Krenzel and she can provide even more opportunities for them that include such things as aid with moving expenses, cash bonuses after the new Leotian fulfills certain obligations plus possible help in purchasing homes in Leoti.

Leoti really is a WONDERFUL place to live!!!
