Additional Information on Mel's

Last night, I learned more information on Mel's Foodliner.

Just recently, their third cash register was taken out. It really opened up the space at the front of the store. A friend of ours was over last night and told us that the other two registers, conveyor belt stands are also going to be taken out. To take their place, will be new registers that will be using scanners. It is a proven fact that these scanners are quicker and more precise than the former registers. Management types in the sale prices into the registers' computer system so that customers do not have to rely on the check-out person's memory on what the sale price is. Another advantage is that no employee will be responsible for changing price stickers on each can or package as the price of that item either goes up or goes down. Customers will enjoy less wait time at the check-out stand. So, all and all, this is a much better option for both the grocery store and customer.

Mel's Foodliner has always been a nice, clean, well-lit store. Wichita Countians are VERY fortunate to have it in Leoti! It is EXTREMELY important that we SHOP AT HOME!!! It's just like Daddy always said, if we do not, we will be driving to Garden City for a loaf of bread and a gallon of milk...
