Thomas H. Plum, age 89, passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on June 28, 1921 in Mount Vernon, Texas, the son of John Roger & Euta Robinson Plum. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1955 moving from Canyon, Texas, he was a Butcher at Ideal Food Store in Scott City and a World War II Army Staff Sergeant Veteran.
His memberships include the First Baptist Church and Scott City Lyons Club of Scott City, Kansas. He was a City Council Member for 10 years.
On July 13, 1943 he married Mary Ella Moore in Sayre, Oklahoma. She survives.
Survivors Include his One Son - Bob Plum of Scott City, Kansas, Three Daughters - Christeena Winter of Lawrence, Kansas, LaNora Dirks of Scott City, Kansas, Carmel Hogue of Woodard, Oklahoma, Eleven Grandchildren and Fourteen Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Parents.
Funeral Service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Scott City, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 20, 2010 with Pastor Jason Dirks and Rev. Kyle Evans presiding.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church Or Pence Community Church % Price & Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday and 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
