Special Occassion Cakes, anyone?--(NEW email address)

I am on Facebook. Though I don't get on there as much as I used to, I did check it out several times while I was so sick with my cold last week. I noted that various people were signed up as being fans of The Cakery Bakery in Scott County. I decided to check it out more thoroughly. As soon as I saw the pictures, I was HOOKED! At that point, I contacted the artist at the Cakery Bakery. Believe me, when you see what she can do with a cake, you, too, will agree with me that she is not simply a cake decorator--she is a very fine artist.

I then contacted Julie Faurot, the cake artist, to see if she would be willing to give me an interview to put on my blog. Fortunately for me, (and for you), she agreed!

Mrs. Faurot is a stay-at-home mother of 2 children who are 2 and 4. They live in Scott County. Originally, she decided to decorate a birthday cake for her daughter who was one at the time. Soon after that, people began noticing her cakes and wanting her to bake some for them. Though she will tell you that she has no formal cake decorating classes in her past, she soon went from baking this cake for her daughter to baking them for her family and friends to doing it full-time. And what an occupation this is for her! She loves doing what she does and even more than that, she really LOVES getting to look at the expressions on children's and adult's faces when the cakes are "unveiled".

Julie can do just about any kind of cake that you want EXCEPT for tiered wedding cakes, however, she is more than happy to decorate the sheet wedding cakes for receptions, etc. She will do your holiday cakes as well. Now is a good time to contact her for your holiday cakes so that she can get them scheduled for you.
