Bert Robbins--Deerfield

Bert Robins, age 89, died Monday, September 13, 2010 at the Kearny County Hospital in Lakin, Kansas. He was born on March 23, 1921 in Cimarron, Kansas the son of Samuel B. and Ida Woodward Robins. He was a WWII US Army Veteran serving in the European Theater. In 1948 he moved to Holcomb, Kansas and farmed until 1960 when he went to work for ADM Alfalfa Mills and later Kansas-Nebraska Gas Company. He retired in 1985 and then moved to Deerfield, Kansas in 1997.
He was a lifetime member of the VFW.
On June 14, 1947 he married Elizabeth Schreiber from Bremen, Germany in Dodge City, KS. She died in November of 1984. In August of 1986 he married Jean Wade in Hoxie, KS. She died April 12, 1994. Then on August 5, 1997 he married Louella Jarboe in Lakin, KS. She survives.

(& Gail) Robins of St. Louis, Missouri; Two Daughters, Annette (& Bob) Blecha of Ottawa, Kansas, Jannelle (& Gene) Gaede of Holcomb, Kansas; Five Step-Sons, Gary Wade of Liberal, Kansas, Larry & Alvis Wade of Hoxie, Kansas, Alan Wade of Colby, Kansas and Jim Jarboe of Lakin, Kansas; Three Step-Daughters, Marsha Jarboe of Deerfield, Kansas, Michelle Jarboe of Berryton, Kansas and Patti Kobler of Oregon; Three Brothers, Jack Robins of Sunrise, Arizona, Lawrence Robins of Topeka, Kansas and Don Robins of Dodge City, Kansas; Two Sisters, Laree Maxwell of Dodge City, Kansas and Anabeth Grooms of Flippin, Arkansas; Eight Grandchildren, Five Great-Grandchildren and several Step-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by Four Brothers, Dean, Leon, Richard and Robert Robins and One sister, Marian Campbell.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30am on Monday, September 20, 2010 at the Cimarron Cemetery in Cimarron, Kansas with Pastor Gail E. Robins presiding.
The family will have a reception at the Holcomb Recreation Commission Building in Holcomb from 4:00-6:00pm on Sunday.
The family requests memorials be given to the American Diabetes Association in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home.
