Christmas Children Needs

We still need some items for our younger Christmas Children. Here is a list of things that they would LOVE to have:

toy cars

toy trucks

toy airplanes

baby dolls

barbie dolls

board games

story books that children from 6 to 12 would enjoy

coloring books

art sets (magic markers, crayons, finger paint, play dough, etc.)

All three of these children are very slender. I have their sizes just in case you are interested in buying something like that for them.

Boys (9 and 10)

12 slim jeans

medium to large tee shirts (They love the kind that have super heroes, animals, cars, trucks, etc on them.)

1 girl (8)

10 slim jeans

small to medium tee shirt (She likes all of the same things as the boys do.)

Just thought that this might help people know what the kids would really enjoy having! I will tell you that we have not heard of many gifts that will be coming for these children.

Donation Total for Mr. and Mrs. Rene Mora

Donations are begining to come in for the family who lost their home to fire this week. I will mention them now. Earlier, I posted a list of items that they need to re-start their household. As time goes by, I will be marking those items off of the list that they have received. If you're interested in helping, please check back to their post.

I just spoke with Mrs. Mora a few minutes ago. She told me that if you have items, etc that you want to give to them, you can bring them to their daughter's house at 402 South 6th Street (the former RB Stewart home.) If you have any questions, etc., please call them at 620-214-2129.

Complaint

I received a vocal complaint yesterday from a person who believes that I am posting far too much information on my blog. She believes that I should not be posting various information here because it just proves that "I have a BIG mouth."

Honestly, I was a bit miffed and shocked at the accusation. Maybe she is right. Maybe she is wrong. Whatever the case, I hope that I have not offended you with anything that I have posted here. I WILL tell you that I have NO desire to "SHUT UP" what I write here. But, please, if you are not happy with what I write, PLEASE tell me about it!!! It may prove that I need to make some alterations in my postings.

Tribune--Movie--of--the--Weekend

As you already know, DreamWorks MEGAMIND is playing in Tribune on Saturday and Sunday, December 11th and 12th. I have heard back from Catherine, the manager of the Star Theatre, and found out that the latest sequel of HARRY POTTER will be playing on Saturday and Sunday, December 18th and 19th AND on Sunday, December 26th. There will be NO movie on Christmas Day.

Of course, the movies begin at 7:30 CST. Next week, I will be posting the synopsis, etc of HARRY POTTER.

Tickets cost $5.00 for everyone 13 and older. Everyone else pays $4.00 each.

Mora Family Update

I received word today that Carlos and Abigail Mendoza have given Mr. and Mrs. Mora a washing machine and dryer.

A couple of years ago, I was diagnosed with asthma. For the most part, it does not cause me much of a problem. But today, I had spent the morning working at the Scott County Courthouse. On my way home, a VERY serious asthma attack happened to me on the highway between Modoc and Marienthal. All of a sudden, I had absolutely NO air. To say that I was terrified would be a definite understatement. To make matters even worse, I had just run out of my emergency inhalers a few days ago. I admit that I kinda lost it. I hit the brakes and pretty much came to a halt right there on the highway. Fortunately, no one was coming from behind me.

I considered dialing 9-1-1 but realized that that would be senseless considering the fact that I was calling on my cellphone and was unable to breathe--let alone talk. I didn't figure that the dispatcher would know who was using my cellphone or where I was located.

Just then, I saw Melodee coming towards me in her car. As soon as she realized that my van was not moving very quickly, she turned around to see if I needed assistance. You have absolutely NOOO idea just how much better I felt knowing that Melodee was there to help me!!! Eventually, I was able to breathe normally again. The chest pain is all but completely gone now.

Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know that Melodee is my heroine!!!
