I just heard this and I like its simplicity.
When purchasing your gifts for your loved ones, don't forget to buy them at least one thing out of each of the following categories:
Something that the person wants.
Something that the person needs.
Something that the person wears.
Something that the person reads.
Sounds like that should just about cover it all!
