Word was received this week that our neighbor of many years, Mrs. Margaret M. Medina, had passed away over the weekend. She was a dear lady and will be missed by many. Here are the details that I have available.

On August 8, 1944, Margaret married Frank P. Medina. He passed away on January 10th, 1986. Survivors include her children:
Charles and Laura--Leoti
Maryann and Charles Knowlton--Garden City, Kansas
Rosemary and Daryl Scheibmeir--Piqua, Kansas
Lillie Gonzales--Amarillo, Texas
Gloria Fulton--Garden City, Kansas
Evelyn Gibson--Nampa, Idaho
Steven Medina--Waterloo, Kansas
Rachel and Ray Morris--Amarillo, Texas
Edward and Dawn Medina--Sedgwick, Kansas
One brother, Ben Medina of Pueblo West, Colorado, one sister, Priscilla Jaramillo of Roswell, New Mexico, 22 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and a host of friends. Her step-grandson, Brandon Lane, preceded her in death.
Vigil service will be held Wednesday, February 15th, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Anthony Padua Catholic Church in Leoti.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 on Thursday, February 16th, at the same church.
Burial will be in the Leoti Cemetary.
Memorials may be given to Wichita County Long Term Care in Leoti or Parklane Nursing home in Scott City, Kansas.
