Update on Mice

A small group of us were visiting last night.  The subject of mice came up.  A lady who lives in the central part of Leoti mentioned that they have a dog who lives outdoors.  Over the past month, her daughter and her have dumped at least 8 or 9 drowned mice that had gotten into their dog's water.  I don't know about you, but this was the first time that I've heard about anything like that happening.  To me, this tells me we have a much larger than normal mouse population in town this Autumn.  Be prepared for them if you are not already prepared.

Over the past several years, I have heard repeatedly that it is vital in late summer and autumn to keep trash, shrubbery, mulch, etc away from your house's exterior.  By having it, you're putting out an open invitation to not only rodents but to bugs also.  During the warmer part of the year, they might be comfortable just living there but when temps cool off, they'll be coming on in to YOUR house to spend the cold days and night...
