A couple of weeks ago, news was sent out that the casino in Ford County is doing exceptionally well. As a matter-of-fact, it is doing better than predicted. Part of the deal in letting the casino come into the county was that a certain percentage of it's revenue needed to be given to Dodge City and Ford County. The resulting revenue will be used for roads, streets and other projects this year which area residents will definitely appreciate.
Since this casino is the first to be erected in Western Kansas, many area residents were thrilled. The super-fancy and up-to-date structure is open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. As I understood TV reports, a hotel is currently being built right next to the casino. Given the fact that I have never been to this casino, I can offer no other information on the matter.
