I CANNOT tell you how disappointed I am in myself for not letting everyone out there know that District Court Clerk of Wichita County, Janelle Downs, was retiring! To make matters even worse, she was honored with a party at the courthouse that all of the public was invited to attend. Again, since I did not know, it was not posted either.
Personally, I am saddened that Janelle will no longer be at her post. She is a wonderful lady and did an excellent job. I had the opportunity to work with her for the past 6 years since I have been working as the court reporter for the Wichita Credit Bureau. I always appreciated her immensely!
Janelle, we will miss you but I wish you an extraordinary retirement!!!
To my knowledge, her assistant, Michelle Herschberger, may be filling in in Janelle's boots. I don't envy Michelle. Those are B--I--G boots to fill...
