John Marvin Watson, age 90. passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at Helmwood Care Home in Tribune, Kansas. Marvin was born September 5, 1920 in Sublette, Kansas the son of John Alvin & Lila Ratcliff Watson. He was a retired farmer and had been a Greeley County resident since 1947 moving from Sublette, Kansas.
Marvin was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tribune, Kansas
In September of 1950, Marvin married Joy Anna Reimelt. She passed away on September 25, 2002 at Tribune, Kansas.
Marvin surviving family includes Three children - Mitchell & Terry Watson- Tribune, Kansas Betty Berg- Fayetteville, Arkansas Joy Foster- Fayetteville, Arkansas One sister Maxine Shaver- Denver, Colorado His parents, wife, two sons, Dale Watson & Robbie Watson and a grandson Chance Watson preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. ( M.D.T.) Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Tribune, Kansas with the Reverend Mark Randolph officiating.
Burial will be in Greeley County Cemetery in Tribune, Kansas.
Friends may call from noon to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Tribune, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
