Virl James Rundell, age 91, died Friday, October 15, 2010 at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. He was born on October 6, 1919 in Pierceville, Kansas the son of Joe J. and Ella Ardrey Rundell. A resident of Garden City 1950 he worked for several local car dealerships as a salesman and was an avid collector of model cars. Virl was a WWII US Army Veteran and was a member of the American Legion.
On November 3, 1950 he married Glenelle Scott in Tucumcari, New Mexico. She survives.
Other Survivors Include: One Daughter, Karen S. McCoy of Newalla, Oklahoma; Two Grandchildren, Six Great-Grandchildren and Three Great-Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gilbert Rundell.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00pm on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.
There will be no public calling times.
Interment will be at the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.
The family requests memorials be given to Pierceville Federated Church or to the Pawnee Acres Community Building both in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City,
