Wanna travel for a lot less money?

I have heard about this free option before but never knew what website you need to go to check out more information.  I now know the address.  Go to http://www.couchsurfing.org/ .

Couch Surfing is a hospitality network.  There is NO charge to join this.  This is a worldwide network for making connections between travelors and the local communities they visit.  There are over one million members around the world.  Once you are signed up on http://www.couchsurfing.org/ , you place your current address on the website.  People then go onto the network and make arrangements to come and stay at your home.  For instance, if I signed up today, I would list my address as being in Leoti, Kansas.  If a person or family lives in China and wants to come to the Leoti area to learn of our culture and to meet our people, I would be notified and told that this person/family wants to stay in my home.  After that, arrangements would be made.  I know of a family of three people who live in New York City.  They joined this organization and found another family in London, England who wanted to visit NYC.  They contacted each other and decided that they would basically trade homes for the same two weeks.

This service will also pair you with other people in your area who share the same travel interests as you do.  That way, you can go to different locations around the world with each other instead of having to travel by yourself.  You do not have to travel to other countries.  If you just want to travel to a different part of the same state that you live in, you can sign up to do that also.

Of course, you will still be responsible for your own food purchases, car, bus, train or airline expenses, etc.
