THAT is the question that many drivers are asking themselves these days. Recently, the law was passed that any drivers or passengers in vehicles not wearing seatbelts will be ticketed. I've been told that quite a few men and women who fought in our wars are really taking exception to the new law and are refusing to wear their seatbelts. Believe me, Folks, I understand your emotions on the matter that we, Americans, are losing another of our rights that so many people have died trying to keep our country free. But, at the same time, it is vital that you remember that time and time again, seatbelts are saving our lives as well as the lives of our loved ones. They cannot prevent severe injury and death if we do not wear them.
I have been told by drivers and other people in the know that tickets ARE being written to the people who are tryiing to ignore this law.
Ultimately, this is your decision. Maybe putting your own life in great peril is not enough to induce you to wear your belts but really, do you want your stubborness to be responsible for the death of your loved one(s) riding in the vehicle with you???
