If you live in Western Kansas, chances are that you have heard of Ashlyn Nightengale's Country Oven. Ashlyn bakes breads of all kinds, cookies, pies, etc., etc., etc. His bakery goods are just divine! Ashlyn's bakery is located in Marienthal, Kansas which is just 8 miles east of Leoti.
Another great reason for you to attend the Whimmydiddle in Scott City on Saturday is to pay a visit to Ashlyn there. He has been going to this event for the past 8-10 years and always enjoys seeing his old friends and meeting new ones there. As always, his booth will be set up at the north end of the park close to the gazebo.
Don't forget that you can purchase Country Oven products at Suzie B's Flower Shop in Scott City every day and at Leoti's Heritage Meats on Thursdays and Fridays.
Folks, October is just around the corner. The holidays will be here before we know it. You just might want to start freezing some of Ashlyn's goodies in preparation for your family and friends.
