Ann Kathleen Schumacher--Leoti

Ann Schumacher, 44, was born on February 4th of 1966 in Kansas City and passed away at her home on March 23, 2010.

She is survived by her mother, Kay Perry, and her father, Robert Perry and wife, Judy, of Kansas City, Mo., her children, Megan, Miranda and Matthew of Leoti, her sister, Lisa and brother-in-law, Dave Drum, two nephews, her loving friend, Eric Hoeme of Leoti, many uncles, aunts and cousins around the country.

Ann was a Leoti resident since 1989 after she received her bachelors degree in social work from KSU. In 1991, she received her masters degree from Denver. She was a licensed clinical social worker in the Scott City office of the department of Area Mental Health. Ann was also a member of the United Methodist Church in Leoti where she was a leader of God Squad, a youth organization that reaches out to any and all children from kindergarten through 5th grade in Wichita County.

Her funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., cst on Tuesday, March 30th, at the United Methodist Church in Leoti. Reverends Mike Howard and Rick Just will be officiating.

Private graveside services will be held later at Evergreen Cemetery in Red Oak, Iowa.

Friends may call from 1-8:00 on Sunday and from 10-8:00 on Monday with the family in attendance from 5-6:00 at Price and Sons Funeral Home in Leoti.

Memorials may be given to the Schumacher Children's Education Fund in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home of Leoti.
