Did you know about this?

Last summer, I noticed that A LOT of people around this part of the country were purchasing those tomato plants that grew upside down from an apparatus that hung on chains, ropes, etc. It was great because holes did not need to be dug in dirt. There was no weeding involved. Basically, all that you did have to do was water them. People who I know who tried these out were very impressed with the tomatoes from this new concept in gardening! This was such a great idea for senior citizens and other busy people who didn't have much time to spend in gardening.

Over the weekend, we were at Home Depot in Garden City. In addition to the tomatoes, they are also selling strawberries and peppers that are grown the same way as the tomatoes.

Anyway, just thought that you might be interested in trying some of these...

  1. We grew tomatoes and jalepeno peppers. We used a 2 gallon bucket with a 1" hole drilled in the bottom. Hung them on a couple of Sheperd Hooks. Worked fairly well
