You know that we experienced Ft. Larned a couple of weeks ago. It was WONDERFUL! I urge any and all of you to make a trip to Larned as soon as possible and learn all that there is to learn.
The fort is open EVERY DAY from 8:30 to 4:30 CST. They are CLOSED on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day.
Experience the Candlelight Tour on Saturday, October 9th. There will be entertaining evening tours with vignettes from the fort's history. Reservations open two weeks ahead of time.
Christmas Past will be held on Saturday, December 11th. While you are there, you will be offered FREE hot apple cider and cookies as you take in the old-fashioned Yuletide celebration complete with Christmas carols.

While you are in the Larned area, don't forget to check out the Santa Fe Trail Center Museum which is just a few miles east of the fort. That website is www.santafetrailcenter.org .
