Repulsive--Not to Mention Dangerous

Okay, okay...so I am a germ fanatic and I admit it but what I saw last night should have really upset anyone and everyone.

While we were in Wal-Mart, I was walking past a juice display. A man and a woman were going through the variety to find juice that they may be interested in purchasing. Big deal! Right? Of course not UNTIL I watched as the man unscrewed the lid off on of the bottles, smelled it, took a sip, put the lid back on it. AND THEN, HE PLACED IT RIGHT BACK ONTO THE SHELF!!!

I was totally floored at what I had just seen. But, of course, as oftimes the case, no employees were handy to do something about it.

So...I want to remind any and all customers out there to pass close attention to the lids, tabs, etc on items--especially food.

The unlucky sap who purchases that bottle will be open to whatever germs the "sipper" had at the time. Plus, if that bottle remains on the shelf for very long, that bacteria will continue to grow and spread throught all of the juice.

Signed,

Someone who is VERY angry with herself for not taking a more active role in stopping this bottle of juice from being purchased from someone else..................

  1. lynn, I learn this a couple years ago. I got home with a bottle of juice that the seal was broke, so I call the store and was told that I could not return it cause the seal was broke. I fussed about it but no luck so now I check on just about all the stuff i buy. another thing be sure to washed all fruits and vegies, I've seen bites taken out of them.

  2. OH MY GOSH!!! What is wrong with people???

I remember when I was a child that some fruits were displayed without being previously wrapped such as grapes. People would walk past the produce counters and pull a grape here and pull a grape there...
