Need a new car battery???

Yesterday, someone who knew that we were going to Garden City, asked us to purchase a battery for her van. She would pay us for it once we took it to her house. Instead, we called Mr. Gonzalo Romero, the owner of G and D Trucking in Leoti, who opened up his own car and truck repair service in Leoti. He also sells tires. He told Stan that he sells car batteries for $50.00 and installs them for just $5.00.

We then called the other party and relayed the information to her who was in need of the battery. She was thrilled with the price and preferred to do business with Mr. Romero. She did not know that he sold batteries. One of his specialties is oil changes which also include a car wash and interior detailing that includes vacuuming, upholstery and window cleaning for a VERY low price.

Of course, Mr. Romero was called back and given the job. Within an hour of our call, he had replaced the dead battery with a new one right there in her driveway. You just cannot complain of service such as that!!!

While in Garden City, we made a special trip to a well-known store there to check out their tire and battery department at which time we discovered that their batteries were just $2-3.00 cheaper less than what Gonzalo offers. No way, does it make sense to drive all of the way to GC for a new battery!

Anyway, we strongly recommend that people give our great friend, Gonzalo, a call at 620-874-0696! His business is located on the same block as Wheatland Electric.
