Update on City Fall Clean-Up Week

I just spoke with Code Enforcement Officer Rick Harp in regards to vehicle and tire pick-up in October.

He has spoken to the County officials about all of this. At this time, the County has been working at getting metal items out of the landfill. So far, three semi-loads have been transferred to a metal recycling center in Colorado. This will allow the City employees to bring out non-working vehicles to the landfill.

If you happen to have such a vehicle, you need to contact City Hall at 375-2341 to make arrangements. You must also be able to present a valid vehicle title before the vehicle can be towed away.

They will also be hauling off old tires. At this time, the City is waiting on hearing from the County Department about what the charges will be per tire. As many of you already know, the County was forced in to charging fees for tires disposed at the dump awhile ago. Each citizen who is discarding tires will need to pay this fee.

As soon as I receive this information, I will post it here.

Thank you!!!
