Barbara Ann Shelden, age 67, died Saturday, December 31, 2011 at her home in Garden City, Kansas. She was born September 15, 1944 in Lakin, Kansas the daughter of Albert E. and Alberta M. Witman Miller. A resident of Garden City since 1968, she was an automotive parts manager.
On August 16, 1961 she married Ted Shelden in Lakin, Kansas. He survives.
Other survivors include: One Daughter, Teddi Shelden of Wichita, Kansas; Two Sons, Russell Shelden of Topeka, Kansas and Michael Shelden of Holcomb, Kansas; Her Mother, Alberta Miller of Lakin, Kansas; One Sister, Louise Miller of Lakin, Kansas; One Brother, Al Miller of Garden City, Kansas; Five Grandchildren and Three Great-Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Glenda M. Church.
The rosary will be held at 7:30pm, Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Garden City, Kansas.
A Memorial Mass will be said at 10:30am on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at the Church.
There will be no calling times.
Private Family Inurnment will take place at a later date.
Memorials may be given to the Lee Richardson Zoo Aviary in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
