My family and I want to thank everyone who saved our mother and grandmother, Donna Lou Elder, today. She had just begun eating lunch when she choked on a piece of lettuce. The Heimlich Manuever was used and she was able to breathe again. Fortunately, she was eating in the elementary school gym-a-teria. People came to her aid immediately. Since then, she was on oxygen for just a few minutes and she rested. My mother is much better now.
