Grandma and I drove to Hays yesterday morning to spend the day with Lori and Mama at the hospital. I was sooooooooo happy to see how much better Lori looked! For the first time in months, her pain is GONE! Praise the Lord!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She acted much more like the sweet and funny Lori that we all love so very dearly!!!
Her blood level has now reached 1.5. Once it reaches 2.0 to 3.0, she will be released to come home. Hopefully, that level will be attained today or tomorrow. Lori is so very anxious to come back home but is no more anxious to get here as we are to have her back at home where she belongs!!!
I am not going to softsoap anyone here. Lori is not completely well yet. Her main doctor was in yesterday and told her that it will take a year before she is back to normal again. The good news is that she will be fine after that. Lori willl not be able to be alone for quite some time. I will go to their house as soon as the girls leave for school. I will stay with her until Mama gets out of school at around noon to 1:00. She will then stay with her until Leif gets home from work. Lori will be making trips to see various health specialists.
Please continue to ask the Lord for Lori's complete recovery to great health.
