This morning, three Wichita County 7th graders and three 8th graders journeyed to Meade to represent their classes in the league math tournament there. One of the 7th graders who went was our daughter, Leighlyn. These 6 kids represented Wichita County very well! Five of the students brought home individual awards. As it turned out, Leighlyn shared her award with her 3rd cousin, Boone Steimel, of Stanton County. He is the son of Chris and Linda (Elder) Steimel.
I believe that these acheivements speak very well for the individuals involved and all of their math teachers who have gotten them this far. Wichita County has outstanding teachers.
