I have been receiving calls, email, etc from people who are concerned about Lori. She was taken by ambulance from Leoti to Hays Medical Center on Thursday evening. This time, the culprit was her appendix which was removed on Friday. The appendix was perforated (had holes in it which allowed poisons to seap into her system.) She is still not good. She is in a great deal of pain.
The good news is that she was moved from ICU to a regular room this afternoon.
Lori will REALLY appreciate knowing that you are thinking of and praying for her! Unfortunately, her throat is extremely sore from the breathing tube that was removed yesterday morning. However, if you will call Leif, he will be very happy to pass your good wishes on to her! His phone number is 620-874-0421.
At this time, her doctors are giving no indications as to when she will be able to return home.
