Ice Festival

I know that there is a considerable amount of people from Leoti who enjoy spending time in Cripple Creek, Colorado. That is why I decided to post this information.

The 4th Annual Cripple Creek Ice Festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday, February 12th and 13th and again on the weekend of February 19th through the 21st. You might want to attend both weekend's festivities as additional ice sculpting will be done during the week that connects the two weekends.

This year's festival features "Story Time". Ice carvers are incorporating their interpretations of classic literature into their art.

This event is family friendly. Several activities for children and adults include 2 ice mazes, an ice slide, a martini bar and retail and food vendors on the street and in the heated event tent.

The C.C.I.F. will be supporting a great community organization. To benefit the Children's Literacy Center, the C.C.I.F. will be holding a book drive. You can help by donating books at the event in the main event tent. The organization will accept books for all audiences.
