A reader who is also a friend of mine sent this information to me. I think that it definitely needs to be posted here for anyone who lives in the Garden City area to read. If you do not live close to GC, check around in your area to see if there is a similar business or organization. This would be MUCH better to take advantage of versus hauling your no longer wanted books to the landfill.
The Book Nook buys used books according to their Book Nook prices and rules and then gives you credit to purchase other books in the store. If they cannot purchase a book for one reason or another, they will either give it back to you or donate it to charities, it is your choice. The commenter thought that Goodwill might be one of the charities
The Book Nook at 2108 East Kansas Avenue is located in a little strip mall just across from the Clarion Hotel (former Hilton)on Kansas Avenue. The latest pizza sensation in Garden City, Little Ceasers, a dry cleaners, check cashing business, etc are located in that mall also.
