Mary F. Hutchings, age 85, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2011 at the West View Nursing Home in Derby, Kansas. She was born September 5, 1925 in Great Bend, Kansas, the daughter of Robert & Iva Clawson Brown. In 1954 she moved to Scott City, Kansas from Great Bend, Kansas, and then in 2010 she moved to Derby, Kansas to be closer to family.
Her memberships include the First Baptist Church of Scott City, Kansas.
On August 5, 1943 she married William E. Hutchings in Great Bend, Kansas. He passed away on May 25, 2007 in Scott City, Kansas.
Survivors include her Two Daughters - Sheila Palkowitsh of Wichita, Kansas, Doris Messersmith of Ozawkie, Kansas, One Brother - Charles Brown of Great Bend, Kansas, One Sister - Barbara Wooten of Fort Worth, Texas, Five Grandchildren, Twelve Great Grandchildren, One Great Great Grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband and Three Sisters.
Funeral Services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2011 with the Rev. Kyle Evans presiding.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church % Price & Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation wil be at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and 9:00 a.m until 12:00 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church.
