Additional Information on "Clarification"

After I posted my previous information, I have received a couple of phone calls and an email or two from people who are tired of watching people who refuse to work getting various programs that are offered from the government. I want to share some of that information with you now after I mention something about my beloved Stanley.

Stan and I have both taken low-paying jobs during our marriage just so that we could pay the bills and keep our family afloat. We did not see that we were EVER too good for any legal money-making opportunities out there.

1. One man told me that there are jobs available in Wichita County that pay more than minimum wage. But before you can have any of them, YOU HAVE TO APPLY FOR THEM FIRST!

2. One person reminded me of my favorite movie, CHRISTMAS VACATION. In it, the Kansas cousins show up unexpectedly to spend the holidays with the rest of the family. When asked why the husband had not had a job for the past several years, his wife replied that he was "holding out for a management position." Well, Folks, when it comes to supporting your family, you sometimes have to take the jobs that present themselves that you may not exactly think is the perfect job for you.

I have two jobs. One of them is as a janitor. Many people would think that that is towards the bottom of the totem pool. I happen to enjoy my job and I am proud of it! It provides necessary funds to help make our world go around. I have also cleaned houses for private individuals. I NEVER felt like I was too good to scrub someone else's toilet! I was just thankful for the opportunity to bring money into our home!!!

Thanks for allowing me to spew a bit more on here!!! I admit it that I am very angry with the negative comments that I received! I also admit that I definitely could have done a MUCH better job of wording the Sad State of Affairs post. For that, I am deeply regretful!!!

I also need and want to thank those of you who have called and/or emailed me to tell me that they are sorry for the way my commenters portrayed me and my family! I appreciate the fact that you found no offense in what I had said.

VLE-B
