Ruby Lee Mulch, age 78, died Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at the Medicalodge Nursing Center in Dewey, Oklahoma. She was born November 23, 1932 in Hutchinson, Kansas the daughter of Karl and Caroline Seitnater Kemper. She was raised in Garden City, Kansas and later graduated from Garden City Community College with her Associates Degree in Business. She had lived in various places before returning to Garden City, Kansas where she worked as a bookkeeper for Kemper Electric and had recently moved to Dewey, Oklahoma to be closer to her daughter.
Ruby was a member of the Episcopal faith and was interested in politics, news and keeping up on current events. Her family always came first but she also loved her cats, Mr. Daisy & Boots
On December 30, 1951 she married Lowell Everett Mulch in Raton, New Mexico. He died July 19, 2010 in Garden City, Kansas.
Survivors Include:
One Daughter, Cindy (& Gary) Deckinger of Coffeyville, Kansas; One Grandson, Todd Deckinger of Long Beach, California; One Brother, Sam Kemper of Garden City, Kansas and One Sister, Cathy (& David) Scott of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Brian Mulch and a brother, Gilbert “Gib” Kemper.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00pm on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.
Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the Doctors Without Borders in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.
