Miraculous

I am one of those few people who never discovered Oprah until she was ready to retire her afternoon show on CBS. I must say, that I am quite impressed with her and will miss her tremendously once she goes off of the air. Oprah brings so much to our hearts and to our minds every single day.

While I was working on the girls' bedroom this afternoon, I was listening to today's episode. You talk about a tear jerker... It dealt with a couple who lost all three of their children, 1 boy and 2 girls, who were 6-years-old and under in a freak automobile accident. We listened to the parents as they gave us the details of the accident and their long period of grief afterwards. Being a parent of three children, I simply could not imagine going on without them. That is how this couple felt as well. At one point, they had to promise each other that neither would commit suicide and leave the other one alone.

At the very end of the program, we learned that the couple eventually decided that they needed to start a new family for themselves. Given the fact that they had taken measures not to have any more children after the irth of their third child, getting pregnant was going to be out of the question without the use of invitrio fertilization. The doctors were able to produce three fertilized eggs. Of course, any of them could have been frozen and pulled out later if necessary. In this case, the parents elected to have all three eggs implanted. Guess what. When the children were born, they had one more son and two more daughters. It made my spine tingle at the thought of how the Lord had sent three more babies to make up for the ones He called home earlier.

Just something I needed to pass on to you...
