Walk Kansas

Walk Kansas is a team-based program that will help you and others lead a healthier life by being more active, making better nutrition choices and learning positive ways to deal with stress.

Changing a few choices each day can help create a healthier lifestyle. Small steps can bring big rewards, and participating in Walk Kansas could be the motivation you need to get started!

Weekly logging and reporting will help keep you on track to be accountable to yourself and your team.

Newsletters will be distributed each week and will inclide tips for more active living, nutrition advice, a recipe, stress management ideas, and healthy living on a budget.

Get your teams ready by inviting 5 friends, family members, co-workers, or neighbors together to track your physical activity and food choices, each day, during the 8-week challenge. You work in teams to walk the equivalent of 423 miles, the distance across the state of Kansas.

Registration fee is $7.00 and covers the cost of program materials, events and the weekly newsletter. Give Belinda Marcy-Oldhan or Allen Baker a call at 375-2724 to sign up or to ask questions.

Walk Kansas begins on March 7th.
